Lauren Cinnamon, affectionately known as “Warrior Lauren” in her rural community, has overcome huge adversity following a stroke as an infant. Driven by gratitude and a desire to give back, her family created the not-for-profit “Fueling a Future,” providing over $25,000 in gas cards for families traveling for medical appointments.
Lauren’s journey has involved multiple surgeries, including two open-heart surgeries and complex neurosurgery. She thrives in a regular first-grade classroom, remains in therapy and stays busy with various activities. Her inspirational story, shared widely on social media, continues to shed light on pediatric stroke.
